Kidsgrove Athletic, based in Staffordshire have been in the Northern Premier League since 2002 after winning the North West Counties League twice in five years before that.
Current members of the First Division South they joined the NPL Football Academy in it’s second season in 2015.
COACH PROFILE | KYLE ADAMS
Kyle joined Kidsgrove Athletic Football Academy in its first year starting September 2015. The 28-year-old started ‘football life’ attending the Port Vale academy from the age of 9 through to 16, Kyle then left Part Vale to join Norton United. It was at Norton United where at the age of 17 he suffered a serious knee injury which meant perusing a career in football no longer existed. This focused Kyle and he decided to take a career path onto coaching and education where he passed a BA (hons) Sport Development & Coaching degree and following on from that he passed his FA Level 1 and 2 quickly progressing and passing his UEFA B and FA youth modules Level 1(developing the environment) FA Youth Module 2 (developing the practice) FA Youth Module 3 (developing the player). He also attended a workshop on the FA Futsal beginners and gained the talent identification award along with his emergency first aid award.
Kyle has gained lots of experience in coaching and management having coached at the Port Vale academy from 2007-2011 whilst also being a freelance sports coach / PE teacher from 2007-2016, he has also managed Norton United reserves and currently manages Stone Dominoes along with his new role at Kidsgrove Athletic Football Academy.
